FORCE OF RAGE is a Hard Rock/Metal band from Austin, Texas.
Michael Paul Toupin (lead vocals) discovered his affinity for live audiences at the age of eight, singing with the neighborhood “band” for the local kids. He has been singing ever since. Michael has delivered powerful, melodic vocals with Sativa, Ground Zero, Raging Saint (co-founder), and Valhalla. He has shared the stage with national touring acts Pat Travers, Survivor, Night Ranger, Blackfoot and others. Influences include Sammy Hagar, Paul Rodgers, Steve Perry and Bruce Dickinson, among others.
Chuck Magus (guitar) grew up in a musical family from Los Angeles, California.Both his father and older brother played guitar so he began to play guitar at an early age. An aspiring extended-range, melodic-technical guitar player, he has played in numerous bands Studied Guitar at Various schools and has taken many lessons. Chuck hales from a number of powerful epic bands, performing in many well-known clubs and venues throughout the country and around the globe. He has performed a variety of styles from rock to blues to heavy metal even a bit of country, with a strong preference for Heavy Metal. He continues to learn and its never ending when it comes to guitar and music. Some of Chuck's previous bands include Serpent Underground, Black Rose, Distorted Legacy, Certain Demise, Carbon Cowboys and many others. He continues to make his mark and forge his craft. Some of his influences range from Malmsteen to Impelliteri to Jimi Hendrix. Check him out at the next show!
Danny Wilburn (bass) grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, hanging out in studios with his Dad, learning the technical side of the music industry, and playing bass in school and in several rock bands around town. Early influences such as Led Zeppelin, Yes and Pink Floyd piqued his curiosity with the bass, and it quickly became a passion. Metallica, Queensryche, Mr. Big and Tool added fuel to the fire. Danny moved to Austin, Texas in 2010 to pursue playing and recording music. Through hard work and dedication, Danny has developed a unique style that is very solid while keeping a creative edge and intense attitude in his sound. Danny plays Fender basses with Trace Elliot pre amps and cabinets, and Crown power amps.
Brian Foster (drums) grew up in a musical household with Mom teaching piano from home and Dad spinning records and jamming in the basement with older brother Brett. He saw three drummers perform with The Doobie Brothers farewell tour at the age of ten, and Brian knew drums were for him. Mom and Dad bought his first drum set at twelve and by nineteen drums became his true passion. Growing up playing mostly heavy metal, Brian soon discovered jazz fusion. Blending these genres has become his sound. He is well versed in many styles of music while referring to heavy metal as his true favorite. Past bands include Ancestor, Vicious Barrett, Waste Mgmt, Fosters Children, River City Royals, Program the Masses, and Richard Jessee Project, among others. Some influences are Terry Bozzio, Gene Hoglan, Benny Greb, Dave Lombardo, Billy Cobham and Nikko Mcbrain.
Jesse White (guitar) is originally from Beaumont, Texas. His high speed scalar and arpeggio passages style of Metal guitar playing often incorporates advanced techniques such as alternate picking, artificial harmonic accenting, and tapping. His playing is reminiscent of the leaders of the field during the technical 'shred' guitar days and the Classic Metal trend influences of the late eighties, and he is well respected and honored by his musician peers today. He continues to make his mark in Austin. Influences include: Dimebag Darrell, Zakk, Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Chuck Shuldner, Doug Aldrich, Steve Vai and Vivian Campbell, to name a few.
